About the Adventure

Activity Level 2 or 3: Moderate to Vigorous (depending on chosen hiking distance) Location: Hillman State Park, Burgettstown Guide: Lindsay Each December we love to experience the magic of the season by hiking amongst the beautiful evergreen trees! It's so good to get outside during these shorter days and move our bodies, connect with nature, and enjoy the tranquil beauty of evergreen foliage. This December Evergreen Hike takes us to Hillman State Park. Chose from a 3.5 mile hike or a 7.2 mile hike, both featuring lovely stands of conifers including Pitch Pine, Table Mountain Pine, Red Pine, and White Pine. The 3.5 mile hike has an elevation gain of approximately 215 feet. The 7.2 mile hike has an elevation gain of 535 feet. Due to the logistics of this hike, you are able to make a game time decision as to whether you opt for the shorter or longer hike. Our trek will end just as the sun is setting, the beautiful hues in the western sky peaking through the pines. Although we've hiked in Hillman before, these trails are new to the Women's Adventure Club. Event details, including meeting location, suggested gear, and other pertinent info, will be sent via email to registered participants.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your registration for an adventure, please make your cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. To cancel, please send a brief email to lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com Cancellations with insufficient notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who have missed the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We don't offer credit for future events. Refunds are issued in the form of original payment. If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For cancellations involving an outfitter (SUP, rafting, kayaking, etc.) we follow the outfitter's cancellations policy.
