About the Adventure

Activity Level 1: Easy Location: Wintergreen Gorge, Harborcreek, PA Guide: Meisha Named after the American Wintergreen plant found in this natural area, the Wintergreen Gorge is a beautiful 250 foot deep, 6 mile long gorge that features small waterfalls and swimming holes. The trail follows alongside the fragmented shale of the Fourmile Creek bed, up to a high vista point aptly named "the Devils Backbone", then back alongside the creek. Our out-and-back journey will be around 3.5 miles total with 350 feet gained in elevation. The Wintergreen Gorge Hike is the first of two hikes we're offering on this day. Following this hike there will be an optional group lunch at The Brewerie at Union Station, 123 W 14th St, Erie, PA 16501 (1:30 - 3). Our second hike of the day will be at Presque Isle State Park at 4pm. Feel free to sign up for one hike or both of them!
