Our "Evergreen" hiking series is an invitation to get outside during winter's shorter days, move our bodies, and soak in the peaceful beauty of green foliage that persists all year long. This Evergreen Hike takes us to Hillman State Park, where you’ll have the option to choose between a 3.5-mile route (215 feet of elevation gain) or a 7.2-mile route (535 feet of elevation gain). Both routes wind through serene stands of Pitch Pine, Table Mountain Pine, Red Pine, and White Pine, offering a peaceful and restorative outdoor experience. You can decide on the day of the hike whether you'd like to take the shorter or longer route—no need to commit in advance.
