About the Adventure
Activity Level 2: Moderate Location: Frick Park, Pittsburgh and Clayton Mansion, The Frick Guides: Lindsay - hike lead, The Frick Museum docent - mansion tour guide Step into history with a guided 2-mile hike through Frick Park, followed by a private tour of Clayton, the meticulously preserved mansion of industrialist Henry Clay Frick. This exclusive experience highlights the remarkable women of Clayton, including Helen Clay Frick, who gifted Frick Park to the children of Pittsburgh. As you explore the exquisitely restored rooms, you'll gain insight into the lives and contributions of the women in the Frick household and discover their lasting impact on the city. Today, Clayton remains the last historic home of its kind in Pittsburgh, offering a rare glimpse into a bygone era of wealth and influence. Total distance: 2 miles Total elevation gain: approximately 170 feet If you'd prefer to skip the hike, you're more than welcome to join us for the mansion tour only. Details regarding meeting location, recommended gear, and other important information will be emailed to registered participants.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel your registration for an adventure, please make your cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. To cancel, please send a brief email to lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com Cancellations with insufficient notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who have missed the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We don't offer credit for future events. Refunds are issued in the form of original payment. If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For cancellations involving an outfitter (SUP, rafting, kayaking, etc.) we follow the outfitter's cancellations policy.
