About the Adventure
Activity Level 2: Moderate Location: Emerald View Park, Mt. Washington Guide: Lindsay Join us for a peaceful evening hike along the Emerald View Trail on Mount Washington, underneath the glow of December's Full Cold Moon. This 3-mile route takes us along wooded paths high above the Ohio River, offering sweeping views of downtown Pittsburgh's glittering skyline. As we wind through the forested hillsides, we'll get to enjoy the tranquil beauty of this urban escape. The Cold Moon, marking the final full moon of the year, symbolizes a time of reflection and rest as the winter season sets in. Night hiking provides a unique opportunity to slow down, heightening our senses as we listen to the sounds of nature, breathe in the crisp night air, and feel the earth beneath our feet. It's a chance to truly immerse ourselves in the stillness of the evening, far above the city bustle. Headlamps provided. Total distance: 3 miles Total elevation gain: approximately 443 feet Details regarding meeting location, recommended gear, and other important information will be emailed to registered participants.
