About the Adventure
Activity Level 3: Vigorous Location: North Country Trail, Portersville Guide: Lindsay Our third North Country Trail hike takes us along a beautiful section connecting Moraine State Park and the Jennings Environmental Center. This 9 mile out-and-back hike includes a lunch break at the halfway point, with an option to make this an abbreviated, 4.5 mile hike instead of the full 9 miles. Highlights include a stop at the historic Foltz School, one of the last operating one-room public schoolhouses in Pennsylvania, as well as serene stretches beside Big Run Creek and scenic paths beneath fragrant pine forests. Total distance for full hike: 9 miles Total distance for one way hike: 4.5 miles (requires positioning your car at Jennings and carpooling with Lindsay to the trailhead prior to hike) Elevation gain for full hike 997 feet. Event details, including meeting location, suggested gear, and other pertinent info will be sent via email to registered participants.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy To cancel your registration for an adventure, please email lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, minus a $3 processing fee. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who miss the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We do not offer credits for future events. If an outing is canceled due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For adventures involving an outfitter (such as SUP, rafting, or kayaking), we follow the outfitter’s cancellation policy.
