About the Adventure
Activity Level 3: Vigorous (due to elevation gain) Location: Tomlinson Run State Park, New Cumberland WV Guide: Lindsay Spring has arrived! Come celebrate the season of renewal on this lovely hike in Tomlinson Run State Park, just across the PA/WV border. About 12 miles northwest of Raccoon Creek State Park, this hidden gem offers stunning scenery as we hike alongside and above the winding waters of Tomlinson Run. Expect to be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the season—trillium-covered hillsides, towering hemlocks clinging to rocky cliffs, massive sandstone boulders, and lush mountain laurel and rhododendron. The soothing rush of the stream will be our constant companion. We’ll take a mid-hike break beside the water, a perfect spot to refuel and soak in the beauty around us. Please note: this trail includes a narrow section along a sheer cliff high above the run. It’s safe but may be uncomfortable for those with a strong fear of heights. Total distance: 6.3 miles Total elevation gain: approximately 948 feet Details regarding meeting location, recommended gear, and other pertinent information will be emailed to registered participants.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel your registration for an adventure, please make your cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. To cancel, please send a brief email to lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com. Cancellations with insufficient notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who have missed the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We don't offer credit for future events. Refunds are issued in the form of original payment. If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For cancellations involving an outfitter (SUP, rafting, kayaking, etc.) we follow the outfitter's cancellations policy.
