About the Adventure
Activity Level 2: Moderate Location: Marshall Lake, North Park Guides: L.L. Bean Instructors This is a fun, 2.5 hours intermediate SUP course for those interested in learning advanced strokes and footwork skills to help you paddle faster and farther. If you've had prior SUP experiences and are looking to elevate your paddling skills and enhance your maneuvers out on the water, this class is for you! In a relaxed environment, L.L. Bean instructors will teach us advanced strokes and concepts like balancing and dealing with wind and rough water. You'll also learn the footwork skills to keep you agile and balanced on your board, practicing techniques like bracing, pivot turns, draw strokes, cross-stepping, spinning, side slipping, power turning and edging. Our instructors will guide us step by step through each skill. We'll also have ample opportunities to work with them one-on-one, plus plenty of time to practice what we've learned. Basic skill and comfort on a stand-up paddle board are required. All necessary paddleboarding equipment is provided. Payment is due upon booking. No refunds for cancellations made after the booking. If you need to cancel and can find someone to fill your spot, we can transfer the reservation. L.L.Bean does not usually cancel events due to inclement weather. However, they reserve the right to cancel an event at any time due to severe weather. If L.L.Bean cancels our event, you will receive a full refund.
To cancel a booking, please make your cancellation at least two business days (Monday – Friday) in advance of the outing. For example, you must cancel no later than 5:00 PM on Wednesday for the following weekend’s event by emailing email@example.com or calling 717-433-7958. Cancellations with insufficient notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who have missed the group’s departure will not receive a refund. We don't offer credit for future events if you cancel less than two business days before the event. Refunds are issued in the form of original payment. If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For cancellations involving an outfitter (SUP, rafting, kayaking, etc.) we follow the outfitter's cancellations policy.
