About the Adventure

Activity Level 1: Easy Location: The Crafty Alpaca, Avella Guide: Mary, Owner of The Crafty Alpaca + WAC Guide Abby to join For this adventure, we will be visiting The Craft Alpaca, a family owned alpaca farm in Avella! Operating since 2004, this is the only farm in our area that produces handmade items made of hand spun yarn or felted alpaca fiber. We will meet the farm alpacas and get a chance to feed them, learning about their personalities along the way. On our visit, we'll also learn about alpaca fiber and observe a spinning wheel demonstration to better understand how alpaca fiber can turn into fiber arts and fleece and eventually wearable and usable products. There is also a farm store on site that we will get a chance to visit! 💌 Registered participants will receive an email with meeting location, suggested gear, and other pertinent info before the event.
