About the Adventure

Activity Level 2: Moderate Location: Pleasant Valley Park, Murrysville Guide: Megan-lead, Joe-assist On this 3.5 mile hike we welcome those of all genders, whether related by blood or chosen family, to enjoy time together in the outdoors and celebrate the people important to us. Located in Murrysville, Pleasant Valley Park is 262 acres. Hiking through a verdant forest on well-maintained trails, we will find our way down to Rowan Run in search of Spring wildflowers. Here there is a half mile section of trail that weaves its way back and forth across the water 12 times! These are relatively easy stream crossings through shallow water. Please wear waterproof mid height hiking shoes, bring water shoes to change into for this section, or be prepared to have wet feet for the second half of the hike. Total Distance: About 3.5 miles Total Elevation: About 360’ Kids age 10+ are welcome. If you have younger kids that you'd like to bring who you believe are able to do the hike, please contact us directly.
