About the Adventure
Activity Level 1: Easy Location: Hickory Hearth Highlands, McDonald, PA Guides: Reagan Carter, 7th generation farmer + WAC guide Abby to join the fun Whether you're heading to the Scottish Highlands with us in the fall and want to get mentally prepared - or you simply want to hug a cow - all are welcome on this farm trip! For this adventure, we'll head to Hickory Hearth Highlands, a farm whose mission is to "foster connections between people, animals, and the land." We'll be greeted by Founder Reagan and make our way to the barn, where we'll meet Scottish Highland cows and miniature donkeys. There will be plenty of time to visit, bond, and learn about the animals - and of course, hug them and love on their beautiful shaggy coats! 🐄 We'll also get a behind-the-scenes look at the farm and the meaningful work they do, and wrap up with a visit to the farm gift shop. 💌 Registered participants will receive an email with meeting location, suggested gear, and other pertinent info before the event.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy To cancel your registration for an adventure, please email lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, minus a $3 processing fee. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who miss the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We do not offer credits for future events. If an outing is canceled due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For adventures involving an outfitter (such as SUP, rafting, or kayaking), we follow the outfitter’s cancellation policy.
