Activity Level 1: Easy Location: Brush Creek Park, Beaver Falls Guide: Abby Each month The Women's Adventure Club offers a gentle, relaxed hike. We keep these hikes under three miles with minimal elevation gain and a slower, more relaxed pace. These hikes are for women who are interested in spending time in nature without covering a lot of ground. Maybe you're new to hiking, recovering from a small injury, or just wanting to take it easy. This monthly hiking series is for you! Let's unwind a bit and take a (likely) muddy relaxed hike at Brush Creek Park in Ellwood City. This 2.9-mile trail has just 272 feet of elevation gain and is a pleasant exploration of the East Trail and the Creek Trail. We'll begin in the middle of a loop trail, following the Creek Trail right alongside Brush Creek until we get to the historic covered bridge, the only covered bridge in Beaver County! From there, we'll weave upwards to the East Trail, then back down again. Since this trail runs right next to Brush Creek, expect muddy patches where water flows down from the rocks and lowlands. It should be an easy hike, but the mud could nudge it toward a more moderate feel - so pack accordingly!
