About the Adventure
Activity Level 3: Strenuous Location: Mingo Creek County Park, Finleyville Guide: Abby-lead, Lindsay - sweep Mingo Creek County Park is a Washington County gem! This park spans about 2,600 acres of protected woodlands, playgrounds, creekside pavilions, trails, and more. For this hike, we’ll begin at the Horse Trailer parking area and catch the orange loop uphill. The loop takes us around a large section of the park, weaving through woods, evergreen patches, and open meadows, and across many of the tributaries that feed Mingo Creek. This is a quiet hike with plenty of opportunity to listen to the birds and enjoy the crunch of fallen leaves, with the evergreens standing out against the late autumn woods. We’ll take a snack break along Mingo Creek to chat and listen to the flowing water. After our break, we’ll continue up, up, up the steeper portion (it’s steady, not crazy!) and then follow the trail back out to the park road and our parking area. Not sure you’re up for the full 7 miles? No worries! There’s an option to bail out at mile 4.5. Total Distance: 4.5 or 7.1 miles Total Elevation Gain: 925 feet 💌 Registered participants will receive an email with meeting location, suggested gear, and other pertinent info before the event.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy To cancel your registration for an adventure, please email lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, minus a $3 processing fee. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who miss the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We do not offer credits for future events. If an outing is canceled due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For adventures involving an outfitter (such as SUP, rafting, or kayaking), we follow the outfitter’s cancellation policy.
