About the Adventure
Activity Level: Moderate to Vigorous Location: Rachel Carson Trail, Wexford, PA Guides: Abby-lead, Lindsay-sweep The Rachel Carson Trail, named for biologist and conservationist Rachel Carson, is a 46-mile trail spanning Harrison Hills County Park in Freeport to North Park in Wexford. Each summer is the Rachel Carson Trail Challenge where participants traverse the diverse landscape of the 46 miles in a single day! For those of us that aren't quite ready for that yet (that's us!), let's tackle a piece of this trail, starting just past the western terminus in Wexford and weaving about 3.3 miles through North Park, ending by the North Park Ice Skating Rink, then doubling back the way we came. Along the way, you'll learn to spot those yellow blazes to guide us along the Rachel Carson Trail and you may even discover a new trail or two that you'd like to tackle in North Park. Total hiking distance: 6.75 miles Total elevation: 650 feet Details regarding meeting location, recommended gear, and other pertinent information will be emailed to registered participants.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel your registration for an adventure, please make your cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. To cancel, please send a brief email to lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com. Cancellations with insufficient notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who have missed the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We don't offer credit for future events. Refunds are issued in the form of original payment. If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For cancellations involving an outfitter (SUP, rafting, kayaking, etc.) we follow the outfitter's cancellations policy.
