About the Adventure

Activity Level 1: Easy Location: Greentree Nature Center, Greentree Guide: Abby Skip the shopping and the crowds this Black Friday and join us outside instead! In the spirit of REI’s #OptOutside movement, we’ll trade consumer chaos for fresh air, quiet woods, and good company on the trails of Greentree Nature Center. For this adventure, we will meet to peruse the meandering trails of the Greentree Nature Center, sharing stories of the amazing turkey, tofurky, stuffing, and pies we may have had the day before. The Nature Center is a series of short trails, so we will combine several short trails to weave through the 18-acre area. This is a choose-your-own distance adventure where you can join us for 2.2 miles through the woods and then we'll return to the trail that leads back to our cars. If you're feeling ready to be done there, that's fine! Or, join us for another loop around for a total of 4.4 miles. Come walk off Thanksgiving, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature. Distance: 2.2 miles or 4.4 miles Elevation: 480 feet or 960 feet 💌 Registered participants will receive an email with meeting location, suggested gear, and other pertinent info before the event.
