About the Adventure
Activity Level 2: Moderate Location: Kooser State Park, Somerset Guides: Naomi Jarvis, president of PACCSA + Lindsay We'll embrace the snowfall and head to Kooser State Park for a few hours of classical skiing! The classic form of Cross-Country/Nordic Skiing is the most popular and easiest to learn. Beginners are welcome! Naomi Jarvis is the president of Pennsylvania Cross Country Skiers Association (PACCSA) and a passionate advocate for introducing new people to cross-country skiing. She brings a warm, confidence-building approach to instruction and is excited to help beginners learn the basics and enjoy their first glide on snow Kooser is my favorite place for a beginner xc ski experience since the trails are relatively flat and the lake loop offers a beautiful ski without the commitment of being out on the trails for too long. Participants will need to bring or rent their own xc skis. Rentals cost about $25 and are easy to pick up on your way to Kooser. You will receive information about rental options when you register. Event details, including meeting location, suggested gear, and other pertinent info will be sent via email to registered participants.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy To cancel your registration for an adventure, please email lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, minus a $3 processing fee. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who miss the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We do not offer credits for future events. If an outing is canceled due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For adventures involving an outfitter (such as SUP, rafting, or kayaking), we follow the outfitter’s cancellation policy.
