About the Adventure

Activity Level 1: Easy Location: Mingo Creek County Park Guide: Meisha Mingo Creek County Park is something of a wildflower wonderland in early spring - and this leisurely 3-mile hike takes you right through the heart of it. Our route winds past a historic covered bridge, through stands of dense pine, and into the kind of quiet woodland that feels worlds away from everyday life. We'll keep our eyes peeled for the season's first blooms along the way. Mingo Creek is beloved for its spectacular spring wildflower displays, with Virginia bluebells, Dutchman's breeches, Spring Beauty, and dozens more painting the forest floor. With just 50 feet of elevation gain, this is a wonderfully gentle outing. Total distance: 3 miles Elevation gain: approximately 50 feet Details regarding meeting location, recommended gear, and other pertinent information will be emailed to registered participants.
