Activity Level 1: Easy Location: De Fer Coffee, Strip District Guide: Matt, President and Founder of De Fer + WAC Guide Abby to join the fun! Have you ever wondered what 'specialty coffee' actually is, or what those tasting notes on your bag of coffee actually mean? Join us in the loft above our Strip District cafe for an informal session to learn about those things and more by experiencing coffee the best way we know how--tasting it. You'll learn a bit about what makes great coffee special, taste several amazing coffees--and have a chance to ask as many questions as you'd like about all things coffee. Plan to spend about an hour and a half to two hours with us. De Fer also kindly offers 25% any coffee you decide you need to take home with you! I don't know about you, but I (Abby) might be a little jazzed up after coffee tasting, so I'll plan to also take a walk around a few blocks of the Strip District while I'm there in case anyone wants to join afterwards (optional bonus adventure). De Fer is less than a quarter mile from the famous Wholey's Market in the Strip, as well as Penzeys Spices, and Penn Mac (the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company). It would less than a mile walk to hit all three of these key Strip District Locations!
