About the Adventure
Activity Level 5: Strenuous Location: Catawba, Virginia Guides: Meisha-lead, Lindsay-sweep The WAC is heading to Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains for a 4-day, 3-night adventure tackling the Appalachian Trail's legendary "Triple Crown" — three strenuous hikes, three unforgettable vistas. Throughout the weekend, our host Dina - with 25+ years of experience - will lead survival school training covering wilderness first aid, food gathering, shelter building, water filtration, and more. The Hikes: 🐉 Dragon's Tooth — 5 mi | 1,300 ft | 3.5–4 hrs Rocky, scrambly, and worth every step to the summit. 🌄 Tinker Cliffs — 8 mi | 1,800 ft | 5–6 hrs Sweeping vistas and dramatic rock formations. You'll earn these views! 🏔️ McAfee Knob — 8 mi | 1,650 ft | 5–6 hrs The most photographed spot on the AT — a 270-degree view of the Catawba Valley says it all. What's Included: All meals & drinks Lodging, linens & laundry Trailhead transportation Guided hikes with certified First Aid, CPR & wilderness survival guide(s) Survival school instruction & equipment CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY (Please read carefully before registering.) Full refund: Cancel by April 27 (45+ days out) 50% refund ($400): Cancel April 28–May 11 (30–44 days out) No refund: Cancel after May 11 (under 30 days out) Transfers: Free before June 10 — notify us in writing with the new participant's name and contact info. No transfers after June 10. Organizer cancellation: Full refund within 7 business days. To cancel or transfer: Email Lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com. Written notice only — no verbal or phone cancellations.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy To cancel your registration for an adventure, please email lindsay@womensadventureclubwpa.com at least 48 hours in advance of the outing. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, minus a $3 processing fee. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, no-shows, and late arrivals who miss the group’s departure are not eligible for a refund. We do not offer credits for future events. If an outing is canceled due to weather, you will receive a full refund. For adventures involving an outfitter (such as SUP, rafting, or kayaking), we follow the outfitter’s cancellation policy.
